Can I use co*ke Zero or Diet co*ke?
Absolutely! If you need or want to use a co*ke Zero or diet, go right ahead.
Just make the drink the same way. Of course, you will find the flavor slightly different, but overall you will have the refreshing dirty co*ke to sip on and enjoy.
Can I use other brands of pop?
I don’t see why you couldn’t use other brands of pop. co*ke is the most popular and preferred choice.
Consider the flavor of the pop and how it may pair with the cream and coconut. Feel free to try it out!
Can I make this alcoholic?
You can add 1-2 ounces of rum or even whiskey of choice.
This will give it a nice punch when you sip, a great nightcap for the evening.
Can I make this drink in advance?
No. You will find it is best to make this glass by glass.
That way, you get your half and half on top of the co*ke, so when you sip, it gives you the cream and co*ke all in one.
If you do a larger pitcher, you will find that the glass’s ratio won’t be the same.
Why did my half-and-half curdle in dirty co*ke?
The lime juice being acidic, can curdle once combined in the glass.
Take note this is normal, and it will still taste good.
You can use a stirrer to gently mix it up to help break up the curdles if you like.
