How Long to Cook Stuffed Pork Tenderloin

Pork tenderloin is a very lean part of the meat. The time consumed for cooking is very important. If cooked for a long time it can get dry.

I mostly preheat the oven to 450 degrees F and cook stuffed pork tenderloin for 35 minutes. Finally, use the meat thermometer to check pork’s internal temperature it should be 145 degrees F / 63 degrees C.

How to Cut a Pork Tenderloin For Stuffing

To make the spinach cream cheese stuffed pork tenderloin, first remove the skin of the pork. Cut a slit lengthwise through the center, till half an inch of the bottom (not completely, keep it like the book, which can be opened, stuff filled, and closed).

How To Cook Stuffed Pork Tenderloin In the Oven

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degree F. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Add the chopped onion and fry until they become soft nearly 5 minutes. Further, add the chopped mushrooms and fry for 5 minutes till they become soft. Then add the minced garlic, and rosemary and continue to fry for another 1 minute. Add the chopped spinach and stir until it gets wilted for nearly 2 minutes. Finally, season it with salt and pepper. Let this stuffing mixture cool naturally.
  2. For Stuffed Pork Tenderloin first cut the pork tenderloin with skin removed, then make a slit lengthwise through the center till half of the bottom. Now open the tenderloin meat like a book, and place it within the plastic wrap. Flatten the tenderloin to 1/4 inch thickness. Remove the plastic wrap.
  3. Now spread the cream cheese over the tenderloin and above it the stuffing mixture. Spread the mixture evenly all over from the inside (within the open pork tenderloin) and close it. Toothpicks can be used to close firmly or tied with some kitchen threads.
  4. Apply salt and pepper on the pork tenderloin from the outside and apply the remaining olive oil over all the meat. Roast the meat for about 25 – 30 or till the internal temperature shows 135 degrees F. And then broil for another 5 minutes till it gets browned and the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F. Let it remain for another 10 minutes before slicing it to serve the spinach stuffed pork tenderloin.

What to Serve With Stuffed Pork Tenderloin

The spinach cheese pork tenderloin is mostly served with different salads and roasted potatoes, I like to serve this with a nice salad, roasted potatoes, roasted garlic cauliflower, and lemon ginger spinach.

  • 1 pork tenderloin approx 1.5 pounds / 700 grams
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion chopped finely
  • 5 oz Bella mushrooms finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary finely chopped
  • 3 cups fresh spinach leaves
  • 1/3 cup cream cheese softened
  • salt
  • freshly ground pepper

  • To start with stuffed pork tenderloin recipe first preheat the oven to 450 degrees F

  • Next add crushed garlic, chopped rosemary and fry for another 1 minute. Add the spinach leaves and stir them till they get wilted, for nearly 2 minutes. Season it with salt and pepper and finally stir for a few seconds. Remove from heat and let the filling mixture cool naturally.

  • Open the pork tenderloin and keep it within the plastic wrap in opened and flatten it to 1/4 inch thickness. And remove the plastic wrap.

  • Spread the cream cheese, within the pork tenderloin which is kept open, and above this add the filling mixture and spread evenly all over. Finally, close it firmly with the toothpicks or tie it with kitchen threads

  • Apply the salt and pepper on the pork tenderloin from outside and the remaining olive oil all over.

  • Roast this stuffed meat in oven for nearly 25 - 30 minutes or till the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees F. Then broil for another 5 minutes till the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.

  • Keep it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving the spinach cream cheese stuffed pork tenderloin.

Notes

  • use the food internal thermometer to check the internal temperature of pork, to ensure that it is cooked properly.. It should be 135 degrees F and after broiling it should be 145 degrees F.
